Live Performance & Sessions

Original Afro-jazz programmed for the room it is in, scaled honestly from solo saxophone to a full band with horns and percussion.

Solo saxophonist performing live on a lit stage with ensemble behind

Live music that moves between Afro and jazz traditions without asking the audience to pick one. Performances run from solo to full band, and are programmed for the room they are in, a festival main stage, a jazz club, a gallery, a conference, a wedding.

Session work is part of the same offer: saxophone, keys, percussion and vocals for other people's records, in the studio or delivered remotely to a deadline.

Process

How a booking works

No stage is a surprise, and nothing starts before it is agreed in writing.

  1. 01

    The event

Date, venue, running time, audience and budget. Enough to say quickly whether it can work.

  2. 02

    The line-up

Solo through to full band, chosen to fit the room and the fee rather than the other way round.

  3. 03

    The paperwork

Contract, technical rider, stage plan and input list, plus PLI and any documentation your venue needs.

  4. 04

    The programme

A set built for your audience and slot length, agreed in advance so there are no surprises on the night.

  5. 05

    The performance

Arrival in good time for line check and sound check, and a set that ends when it is meant to.

Benefits

What you are booking

  • A distinctive set

Original Afro-jazz material rather than a covers function set.

  • Straightforward to work with

Rider, stage plan and timings sent early; on site when agreed; off stage on cue.
